PRIVATE ROUTINE BUILDER

Plan the session around your life—not the other way round.

Choose only the actions you can repeat. The routine can be small; it just needs a clear start, a clear stop and a place to record the work.

01

Start with the hours you really have

A shorter window you can keep is better than an ambitious schedule you repeatedly break. Times are stored exactly as you enter them.

Name the session and version so exported copies remain recognisable.
Available days

Choose the days you can prepare, watch and finish the journal without rushing.

Your preparation start, not necessarily a market open.
New entries and chart watching stop here.
Use an IANA name such as Europe/London or UTC.
When the calendar is checked and blocked windows are marked.
Use the label that matches the hours you plan to observe.
Choose a whole-number ceiling from 1 to 8.
Use the EUR/USD format and separate pairs with commas.
02

Give each chart one job

The map timeframe shows the bigger picture, the decision chart checks whether the setup matches, and the trigger chart times the written event.

Mark the bigger swings and nearby zones.
Decide whether the setup matches your rules.
Wait for the exact completed event.
Name one exact version. Do not write only “price action”.
03

Put the stop rules above the trade button

These are your own caps, not WickAtlas suggestions. They should also fit any broker, account or prop-firm rules that apply.

Maximum planned loss at the original stop.
No new trades once this limit is reached.
A whole-number ceiling for one trading day.
Pause after this many losses in a row.
04

Choose the moments when doing nothing is the plan

No-trade triggers reject an individual idea. Pause triggers stop the session and move the next decision to a calmer time.

No-trade triggers

Choose every condition that automatically rejects a new entry.

Add numbers: news window, spread cap, minimum space or readiness score.
Pause triggers

Choose what closes the platform and ends new decisions for this session.

Write the immediate action and the condition for returning.
05

Build the routine in three small passes

Pick actions that leave a useful record. A screenshot, written scenario or ticket read-back is easier to review than “be disciplined”.

Before the session

Preparation is complete before a setup is allowed.

Add a deadline or local task that is not in the list.
During the session

Keep decisions inside the setup, window and caps.

Add the exact chart-check interval or order check.
After the session

Close the loop whether a trade happened or not.

Add the journal deadline or screenshot naming rule.
06

Reserve one quiet review appointment

Review the whole week at a fixed time. That keeps one exciting win or frustrating loss from rewriting the method on the spot.

Choose a day when the trading session is already over.
Put the same appointment in your calendar.
Choose a whole number from 10 to 240.
Weekly review checklist

Choose the records that belong in the review.

Write what the review must produce: next sessions, one process focus or a versioned research question.
PUT THE ROUTINE TO WORK

Open the tool that matches your next step.

A routine organises the work. These pages help you define the method, prepare the chart, practise without risking money and review what actually happened.
