Know what is scheduled. Decide what you will do.
Load current event times from TradingView, then use WickAtlas to translate the calendar fields into a before, during and after plan. Decide when to stand aside, what to record and what would let you resume normal chart practice.
Check the event before you check the chart.
The default view covers the eight currencies most often seen in major FX pairs. Use the calendar controls to change dates, countries and importance, then write down the event time in the clock used by your chart.

Does a high-importance event predict a large forex move?
No. Importance is a calendar classification, not a forecast of direction or distance. The result, revisions, expectations, positioning and available liquidity can all affect the reaction.
Which currencies are shown when the WickAtlas calendar loads?
The default filter covers AUD, CAD, CHF, EUR, GBP, JPY, NZD and USD. Use the widget controls if you need a different country set or importance level.
Why must I check the calendar timezone?
A release time is only useful when its timezone is known. Write the event in the same named timezone used by your chart or convert both to UTC, especially around daylight-saving changes.
Why is the calendar off until I click?
The embedded calendar is supplied by TradingView. Keeping it off initially avoids contacting that third party until you choose to load its current data.
