HOW THIS PRACTICE CHART WORKS
Cases use anonymised historical shapes or generated candles, not live quotes. Fills are simplified, and the stop is counted first if one candle reaches both stop and target.
BLIND REPLAY
visible bars only → decision → next candleFuture candles never enter an indicator calculation or chart scale before they are revealed. This reduces hindsight while you practise observation and rule-following.
RISK-SIZED POSITION
virtual cash risk ÷ stop distance = unitsPosition size changes when the stop or risk percentage changes. For a real platform, check its symbol specification and position calculator before translating virtual units into lots.
AMBIGUOUS CANDLE
stop and target touched → stop assumed firstOHLC candles do not reveal the path travelled inside the bar. The simulator uses the conservative outcome when both exits fall inside the same candle.

How the practice model works.
Is the WickAtlas forex simulator free?
Yes. It runs in the browser without an account, deposit or broker connection. Trades use virtual risk only.
Does it replay real historical forex data?
Historical-shape cases load when you choose them and come from a locally saved MT5 archive. WickAtlas rebases the prices and removes the pair, date, timeframe and provider before publishing each case. The first screen uses a clearly labelled, repeatable synthetic case so practice can start immediately.
Can I practise a complete forex strategy?
Yes. Six guided methods load their available indicators and rules automatically. The optional coach pauses on completed-candle cues; it can be switched off when you want to decide without prompts.
Does a profitable replay prove that a strategy works?
No. One replay is a decision drill, not proof of an edge. A proper test needs rules written in advance, many independent cases, realistic costs and a record of every setup that fits those rules.
